Day 1

We are now on two day poses in figure drawing. This drawing I started tonight.  Will finish it Wednesday.

This collage is from a workshop that I participated in at the Smart Museum of Art at the University of Chicago.  The workshop was held in conjunction with a exhibition based around figure and pattern.
It's a mix of materials, tissue paper, pen, magazine cutouts and felt.  24" x 42"

Here I am...

...in more ways than one.  Feels good to be sharing work again.
Charcoal and pastel self portrait, 19 1/2" x 25 1/2", done for my figure drawing class.
Now that I have my camera back, a flurry of posts is in the forecast.

Drawings for Dinner

Still without a camera, which makes it difficult to share new work unless it fits in my scanner.  Therefore, more work from a few months back.  Dinner plates of cast porcelain I then drew on with black satin glaze.  The one with the woman is various oxides, stains and glazes, cone 6 oxidation.

Decided it was time for a change.  To mark this event, here are some ideas conceived a while back from three heads--Randall, Rob and I.
