all PRIDE, no Predjudice.

This morning I woke to the intoxicating beat of "Firework" by Katy Perry blasting on the street outside my window.  It was soon to become the theme song of the day as very proud Chicagoans lined up and down Halsted for the 42nd annual Pride Parade.  There was so much color, spirit, love, joy (and a hefty dose of outrageousness) as I walked up and down the route taking in all the sights.  I even went up on my rooftop to see the street from above and was amazed at just how many people there were.  Love as far as the eye could see.  An estimated over 500,000 people took to the streets to celebrate and support.  Truly a beautiful thing.  It made me proud.

Even Bozo came out for the festivities!

Season of L♡ve

It's that loving time of year...wedding season!  My dad and I shot Kelly and Ryan's wedding last weekend and the celebration begins tomorrow for another couple, my cousin Jason and his fiance Nicole.  We had so much fun with Kelly and Ryan, looking forward to another wacky wedding weekend!

I'm awake.

Been away for awhile, enjoying my mini summer before starting summer school last week.  I'm getting back to routine-waking up early, going to class, going to work..but most satisfying, starting to sketch again. Time a new book begins. These are from the last, March 26-May 8, 2011.
